In John Brunner's The Shockwave Rider there was an organisation that provided a unique service for all people in a hyperflexible, fast and consumating society: Time to listen in an anonymous way.
You'd dial a number on a phone, you could talk as long as you wanted. Once you are done, the other side told you that you have been heard and hung up.
Seeing how people use text generators in a similar way these days dug out the memories of that story again. I have read it decades ago but this image still stuck with me.
