@Taskerland thoughts on how I came to this OSR/NSR scene:

- I have been socialized with RPGs away from DnD altogether
- I also grew up doing homebrew games, since as a young teenager all these supplements and adventures were too expensive
- I restarted running games with Mausritter of all things a couple of years ago due to its nice toolkit and the 'you can do it yourself' attitude
- From there it has been a small step to Cairn (which I adore and admire Yochai's way of sticking to principles like keeping it accessible)
- And everything else fell in place natually, Shadowdark is a nice game, DCC is a nice game

For most of that @systemmatters is to blame as they make all these available in German with gorgeous bood editions. Also the community around there is a stark contrast to other places on the internet...

I don't understand a lot about the Goodman Games licensing deal with an antisemitic bigot, I think they should have just cut their losses and dropped that deal entirely.

All this posting and justifying how they are doing the right thing is a bit disturbing.

But I do love their #DCC product line, it is a great game. I am really torn atm...
